Teachers are the least bored professionals in the UK, a new study has found.
The Training and Development Agency for Schools (TDA) surveyed 2,113 graduate employees aged between 21 and 45.
They asked participants to rate how boring their job was.
Those graduates in administrative, manufacturing, sales and advertising jobs were the most bored, according to the survey.
Graduates working in Information Technology and scientific research were also frustrated by their jobs, the study revealed.
Teachers, healthcare workers and hospitality sector employees were the least bored at work, the survey added.
When asked why they find their job interesting, 81 per cent of teachers questioned said it was the challenge of the role and 86 per cent of respondents said they enjoyed the interaction with people.
Eighty-one per cent of teachers said they liked their job because "no two days were the same", while 64 per cent rate the opportunity to use their creativity.
Sixty-one per cent of employees surveyed said they were bored because of the lack of challenge in their jobs.
Not using skills or knowledge was a source of frustration for about 60 per cent.
And doing the same things every day made life tedious for nearly half of respondents.
The survey also found that half of those employees who said they were bored have considered changing their profession in the last year.
Michael Day, executive director at the TDA, said: "These findings demonstrate that one of the chief benefits of teaching is the sheer variety of the job - that no two days are the same.
"It's never too late to make a career switch, and there are now many ways you can train to teach to match your personal circumstances, as well as new financial support.
"There's a particular need for more people to train to teach maths and science and there are still places available on courses starting this September.
"I'd encourage graduates who are bored in their jobs, particularly those with maths and science related degrees, to take another look at the day-to-day and financial rewards of a career in teaching."
