Take Two's Bioshock has entered the UK videogame chart at number one, according to figures from Chart Track.
The first person shooter knocked last week’s top title, Transformers: The Game, into second place.
Bioshock, which is available for both PC and Xbox 360, was released in the UK on August 24.
Pokémon Diamond slipped one position to third, followed by Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix in fourth.
Microsoft's Blue Dragon and Ubisoft's Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Warfighter 2 entered the UK chart in fifth and sixth respectively.
Other games in the top 10 included Mario Party 8, Pokémon Pearl and Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End.
The UK videogame chart takes into account sales on all formats.
