One of four "talking" cars used in the popular 80s TV show, Knight Rider, is to be sold in the US.
The vehicle, a Pontiac Trams Am, is being sold by Kassabian Motors of Dublin for nearly $150,000 in California.
It is known as Knight Industries Two Thousand (KITT) and was driven by US actor David Hasselhoff during the series.
Johnny Verhoek, a salesman at Kassabian Motors, said: "When I found out the car was coming, I was pretty excited.
"It's just one of those cars from TV that people remember, like the General Lee or the Batmobile."
The vehicle currently belongs to Knight Rider enthusiast Tim Russo, who purchased it 10 years ago at an auction in San Diego.
Russo, 48, has spent the last decade restoring the iconic motor to its former glory.
However, the vehicle is not currently street legal because it is missing a number of modifications required by US law.
"Whoever buys the car will probably keep it in a private collection or it may be purchased by a museum," added Verhoek.
Knight Rider, which starred Hasselhoff as crime-fighter Michael Knight, first aired on NBC in 1982. It lasted for four seasons.
The voice for KITT was provided by St. Elsewhere and 1776 star William Daniels.
