Jennifer Aniston's latest comedy, The Break Up, has failed to dislodge Pirates of the Caribbean 2: Dead Man's Chest from the top of the UK box office chart.
The Walt Disney sequel made £3.86m over the weekend, taking its total UK takings to more than £33m, according to industry publication Screen Daily.
The Break Up, which also stars Vince Vaughn and Joey Lauren Adams, opened in second place with £2.41m.
Brandon Routh's Superman Returns dropped one place to number three, taking £2.32m between Friday and Sunday.
Teen spy flick Stormbreaker entered the UK and Ireland cinema chart at number four with ticket sales of £1.24m.
Animated comedy Garfield: A Tail of Two Kitties, featuring the voices of Jennifer Love Hewitt and Billy Connolly, was another new entry at five.
The Break-Up is about a couple whose relationship is on the rocks but choose to stay together in their Chicago apartment.
Aniston, 37, who divorced Brad Pitt last October, has reportedly been dating Vaughn for the past six months.
Dead Man's Chest, starring Johnny Depp, Orlando Bloom and Keira Knightley, became the quickest film to break the $300m barrier in North America.
The film is also the first summer movie since 2001 to spend three consecutive weeks at number one in the US and Canada.
The original movie, Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl, took $306m (£166m) in the US and over $650m (£352m) worldwide.
A third installment is currently in production.
