US television talk show host Oprah Winfrey is the richest woman in entertainment, according to a magazine survey.
Winfrey, whose personal fortune is an estimated $1.5bn, topped the coveted Forbes Top 20 Richest Women in Entertainment list.
The 52-year-old pockets around $225m annually from TV, radio, magazines and other multimedia endeavors, the business magazine said.
Harry Potter author JK Rowling is in second place on the list at $1bn, with lifestyle guru Martha Stewart third on £638m.
Pop star Madonna claimed fourth place with $325m, closely followed by Canadian singer Celine Dion, who is reportedly worth about $250m.
Pretty Woman star Julia Roberts is the wealthiest actress on the list with a personal fortune of $140m.
Other actresses that made the top 20 include Nicole Kidman, Cameron Diaz, Sandra Bullock and Renee Zellweger.
Twin sisters Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen are the youngest stars on the list with a combined fortune of $100m.
To make the prestigious Forbes list these working female superstars needed a minimum net worth of $45m amassed over the course of their careers.
Winfrey also topped the 2005 Forbes Celebrity 100 list, beating the likes of Tiger Woods, Mel Gibson and Tom Cruise to claim the top spot.
The Forbes 100 list ranks celebrities according to their salaries, media coverage and power.
