Italian giants AS Roma will be looking for revenge tonight when the face Manchester United in the quarter finals of the Champions League.

The Serie A side were heavily beaten 8-3 on aggregate by United in the same stage of the competition last year.

This included an embarrassing 7-1 defeat at Old Trafford.

Both legs were marred by crowd trouble and United boss Sir Alex Ferguson admits he is worried that there could be a repeat of the violence.

"After the experience of last year it is a concern," he said. "But I think the police have been working hard to ensure it doesn't happen again."

United have minor injury doubts over Patrice Evra, Rio Ferdinand, Michael Carrick and Ryan Giggs.

Portuguese winger Nani and striker Louis Saha have both been ruled out through injury, but French defender Mikael Silvestre returns to the squad after overcoming a knee ligament injury.

Roma, meanwhile, have been rocked by the news that skipper Francesco Totti will miss the game after suffering a thigh injury against Cagliari on Saturday.

Totti, Roma's leading scorer with 14 goals, is set to be replaced by Mirko Vucinic.

Central defender Juan will also miss the first-leg encounter with a foot problem.

The two sides have already played twice in this season's group stage. United won 1-0 at Old Trafford before a 1-1 draw at the Stadio Olimpico.

In tonight’s other Champions League game, Spanish giants Barcelona travel to Germany to face Schalke 04.
