At the end of the day supporters want the best players and unfortunately the only way clubs can raise the income to buy the best is to increase ticket prices. It is sad but the game has been going this way for at least 10 years now. The influx of foreign players into the Premiership has been the catalyst.

The main problem with Premiership football is the very high ticket prices most clubs charge. The average ticket is about £40 and this makes it very hard for people on low incomes to afford. Football used to be a working mans sport and now only the rich and elite can watch on a Saturday afternoon. The game is currently in a shocking state.

This study is just proof that English football is far too expensive. Players are paid far too much money and it is the loyal fan that has to pay for it. A wage cap must be put in place. Fans are being priced out of the game.
