Swedish retailer Acne Jeans has opened its first store - or "fashion studio" - in America.
The 100 square meter store is situated in SoHo, a vibrant neighborhood in New York City that has inspired both artists and entrepreneurs for centuries.
The Greene St store features Acne's collections for men and women, which includes the ready-to-wear lines, accessories and jeans.
It will also introduce the company's growing retail concepts such as a new design program initiated by creative director Jonny Johansson and his team.
Acclaimed fashion journalist Hamish Bowles and Swedish supermodel Caroline Winberg were just two of the suitably stylish names who turned out to celebrate the launch of the new store.
"Being able to open our first NYC store in the middle of SoHo is kind of like a dream come true," said Johansson.
"SoHo, to me, is this mythical place that's been a part of New York's cultural history for centuries, and for Acne to now be a part, albeit small, of this is pretty much invaluable!"
Acne Jeans was founded in Stockholm in 1996.
