A deluxe 65-bedroom hotel in Turkey has been crowned Europe's best hotel.
The Four Seasons Hotel Istanbul at Sultanahmet topped a poll of readers of America's coveted Travel and Leisure magazine.
Lying in the heart of historical Istanbul, this luxurious hotel has been created from a century-old neoclassic Turkish prison.
The hotel is located in the Sultanahmet District of Istanbul, near to Topkapi Palace and the Grand Bazaar.
The Milestone in London, meanwhile, finished second in the Travel and Leisure magazine survey.
Italy's Relais II Falconiere took third spot, while Munich's Mandarin Oriental secured fourth place.
Rounding out the top five was France's stunning Chateau Les Crayeres.
The Four Seasons Hotel Gresham Palace in Budapest came sixth, with Italy's Le Sirenuse seventh and Prague’s Four Seasons Hotel eighth.
41 in London, Monte Carlo's Hotel Hermitage and Switzerland’s Beau-Rivage Palace also made the top 20.
Travel and Leisure readers were asked to evaluate each hotel by its rooms, facilities, location, service, restaurants and value for money.

I have stayed at the The Four Seasons Hotel Istanbul at Sultanahmet and it is the best hotel I have been in. This hotel is the top. It is the right pick.

I thought that the location was lovely though there should have been a park to play in.
