Public Enemy performing at the 2007 Canadian Music Week

31st July 2007

Canada's biggest new music festival with over 500 showcasing bands over four nights at 44 live music venues across Toronto and Ontario.

By night, the most popular clubs and concert halls in Toronto and Ontario throw open their doors to industry insiders and the general public to create an electrifying musicfest of discovery.

The talented unsigned bands are music to the ears of A&R reps on the lookout for next year's stars.

Whether it's the next "big thing" or one of today's hottest concert 'hitmakers', you'll find what you're looking for at the festival.

Past years' headliners and featured artists have included Daniel Lanois, Pat DiNizio, Circle Jerks, The Full Nine, Rascalz, Staggered Crossing, Tegan & Sara, Sloan, Prozzak, The Headstones, Kim Stockwood, Jacksoul and Serial Joe.

Soul Decision, Public Enemy, The Rankin Family, Semisonic, Tom Cochrane, Blue Rodeo, Alanis Morissette, Barenaked Ladies, Fat Boy Slim, Tal Bachman, The Pretenders, Jewel, Starsailor and the Ennis Sisters have also performed before.

The 2008 Canadian Music Week will take from March 5-8. For more information about the event, visit www.cmw.net.
